It’s been four days since I won the title of Mrs. Nevada – American and I’m still in a tad bit of shock!
What started as a dare and challenge from my dear friend Amanda Klein has resulted in a title I can’t wait to use to promote my All For Our Country, Battle Born State of Nevada!
Just like the other journeys I’ve had during my life, I did not complete this one without the assistance of so many:
First, my heartfelt thanks and all the hugs I could ever give to my coach,
Glamour and Gains By Eve Dawes WBFF Pro. Eve is a former prima ballerina for the London ballet, professional dance captain, WFBB Pro, and custom cosmetics creator and company founder. She is the best of the best and taught this former flight boot-clad and Nomex flight suit-wearing girl how to pose and articulate my thoughts for a 4:30min interview. It was a challenge and she accepted it with grace, good humor, and a bunch of patience!
To Elizabeth Calderon for this gorgeous gown and my state costume! You were such a joy to work with!
To Larissa Navarro-Castro for your expert tailoring of my weekend wardrobe and swimsuit. They were PERFECT!
To Amelia Cooper and her talented Bianca for my interview and stage hair and makeup. It was flawless!
To Jackie McKenna, thank you for this incredibly unique experience!
And to our contestant coordinator, Jennifer Winn Snowden, thank you for all your hard work in ensuring we contestants were taken care of and where we needed to be when we needed to be there. You are such a bright light and a beautiful soul! I am so blessed to call you a friend.
I’m looking forward to shining light upon and giving my hands to help those areas of our community that need a voice and hand up, especially during these trying COVID-19 times. I’m also excited about highlighting as many small businesses across Nevada as I can during my year-long tenure. This state is so great and I’m beyond proud to share how great it is with all!
